Movember is all about men’s health and for a very important reason. Men on average die 6 years younger than women and for preventable reasons. You read that right – preventable – your lifespan is in your hands! Men’s health issues such as prostate and testicular cancer tend to be swept under the rug, but early detection and treatment can literally be a lifesaver. Think about this – There are almost 9,000 cases of testicular cancer diagnosed each year, but only about 400 men will die from it. During their lifetime, approximately 1 in 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, but it only causes death in 1 out of 36 men. These conditions are largely treatable when caught early.
