On Saturday, January 28, 2017 Cadillac Urban Gardens on Merritt, Keep Growing Detroit, Southwest Detroit Environmental Vision, and BuildOn Detroit hosted a community event for Detroit residents. Volunteers helped package cilantro and spinach seeds. The seeds packaged will be distributed to over 1,400 farms and gardens across Detroit, many of them help beautify the city and promote healthy eating.

A huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers that attended. “I think the event was incredibly successful. I know my students had a really great time, and had a chance to meet different people from the neighborhood, which is always a plus.” says Catie Bargerstock, BuildOn Detroit.

Together, we are revealing the pride and resiliency of Southwest Detroit.
