In the beginning of July, Ideal Group received 18 Grow Detroit’s Young Talent (GDYT) interns. The program ran 6 weeks long and the youth were assigned to different departments within the Ideal Group. Students worked on various projects including preparation for Supplier of the Year, organizing volunteer youth groups, and more. On each Friday, GDYT students were asked to take financial literacy classes. The last two of the financial literacy classes were provided by Tony Santori, an Ideal Shield team member and Security Credit Union. The youth learned about scholarship opportunities, vision statements, credit scores, and job opportunities in banking.

Farewell and best wishes to our Grow Detroit’s Young Talent summer interns! As summer comes to an end, we want to take a moment and thank our interns for all their hard work and dedication during their time with us. It was a pleasure getting to know each of the interns and watching them progress. We wish them all the best as they return to their classes. Based on their work at Ideal Group, we know they will succeed in their studies and enter the working world ready to impress. We will miss you! Thanks!
